VERANNE is pleased to support Veteran attendance at regional and national adaptive sports clinics, where disabled veterans learn about a wide range of sports. Working closely with the White River Junction Recreation Therapy and Voluntary Services Programs, VERANNE helps to defray costs for Veterans participating in these clinics. Many local Veterans participate in summer and winter adaptive sports clinics held in Sunapee, NH, which include programs in adaptive kayaking, sailing, fishing, air riflery, horseback riding, skiing, snowboarding, and wheelchair basketball.

In January 2011, the first local sled hockey clinic for Veterans was held at the Hartford Municipal Arena in White River Junction, VT. With volunteers from the Northeast Disabled Athletic Association, Northeast Passage, VERANNE, and the Boston Veterans Administartion Research Institute, local Veterans learned the basics of sled hockey and even played a couple of scrimmages. The clinic was led by Taylor Chace, captain of the U.S. National Sled Hockey team and it was enthusiastically received by all who attended.
